Not Zackly

Not Zackly Not Zackly

Zachary was nicknamed 'Not Zackly' because he was slow and dim. Until his speed and courage saved two kids and a horse from drowning.

The newspaper story of two boys rescuing a Clydesdale horse from a swollen creek and receiving medals for bravery inspired my story.

Published in 1990 by the HBJ Classroom Library with illustrations by Penny Azar.
